Sharing The Harvest Food Bank is a non-profit organization that strives to alleviate hunger and poverty in the USA and Kenya. The organization was founded by Mary Lester, who started serving food to the homeless children. Her vision of creating a hunger-free world led to the establishment of Sharing The Harvest Food Bank with the help of Co-founder Melissa West. Today, the organization is led by Director Pastor Timothy Cheromoi and Co-Director Pastor Ruth Cheromoi, who have expanded its services to reach the needy in Kenya
At Sharing The Harvest Food Bank, we believe that everyone deserves access to healthy food, regardless of their financial situation. Our mission is to provide nutritious meals to those who need them the most, and to help families and individuals break the cycle of poverty.We achieve this by offering various programs, including
1. Farming both poultry and crop.
2. Training to Empower the affected persons on self-reliance.
3. Feeding .
4. Spiritual nourishment. Additionally, we partner with local farmers and businesses to acquire fresh produce and other food items for our clients.
We understand that hunger and poverty are complex issues that require a multifaceted approach to solve. That's why we not only provide food assistance, but also offer educational programs on nutrition, budgeting, and healthy cooking. We believe that by equipping our clients with the necessary tools and knowledge, we can empower them to take control of their lives and improve their overall well-being.
